We have been discussing context clues all week. The quiz will be tomorrow. To see if you are ready for the quiz post an example of how context clues can be written in the comments section below.
Example: My sister is very domineering. She always tells me what to do, how to do everything, and pushes me around. What do you think domineering means? Answer my example and then create your own example for others to try. Please reread the social studies handout from this week and study each group for your quiz on tomorrow. Homework Question: After studying all of the groups' economic conditions do you think SC needed to make changes? Explain why or why not. Yesterday we started looking at ways to solve a multiplication problem. The first strategy we used was at skip counting. Today we talked about arrays. An array is a group of objects in rows and columns. The first number in a multiplication problem tells you how many rows. Here are your questions: 1. What is a math vocabulary word you can use instead of the word number? 2. The picture to the right is an example of an array. What number sentence could be used for this picture? 3. Can you find or create a picture of an array that shows 7x4? Post your answer to question 3 on your blog page or a sheet of paper for tomorrow's discussion.
